I really like this club! I got some stick at my local golf club for buying it, but all those giving me stick are equally desperate to have a go with the club!
I’m a bit of a beginner, 1 year in and playing off a 24 HCP. I’m going backpacking soon and didn’t want to give up the golf so that’s why I got this club. But also, I’m using it multiple times a week to just walk (5 mins) to my local club and get a quick 9 holes in. It’s so refreshing not having to carry a bag of clubs around with you, I could if I wanted get 18 holes in in probably just over 2 hours as opposed to the usual 3+ hours.
All that said, it is a little harder to hit for me than my Ping G5’s. It’s a little longer and heavier. Putting is funky, I really struggle with the Stinger 11° setting (I would struggle with this with any club), and the hybrid too. I miss my driver when on the course but this wouldn’t be a problem on par 3/executive courses. Surprisingly the wedges and 8 iron feel great.
5 stars for its value for money and uniqueness. It doesn’t replace a full bag of clubs for me, but is a great club for when you want to just get out for a practice.
